Second announcement of the Spiderman stream/ @stonewalluk fundraiser. An all day event on twitch.tv/bedwellj101 starting at 11am up to 6 or 7pm roughly tommorow. A monster stream!
Also below is a photo I took on Minecraft earlier this week.
Virtually everything you see in the media about trans people is just a complete fucking lie, and I don’t know how we get to combat that other than by using our comparatively limited reach to call it out on here.
Fuck every evil cunt involved in this hateful campaign.
Here's the TV piece about what @keffals endured during her swatting and doxxing in London, Ontario. She first talks about how her community has often been a haven for transgender youth and the LGBTQ+ community at large.
💧Good news for our English-speaking readers!
Now we have a functioning Facebook page where we post updates and info about our movement relevant to the international audience in English.
Please subscribe, follow and share!
I've been following them for a while on my personal account (Russian is my 1st language) and can confirm they are legit. Very happy that they now have an English-language channel because more people should know about what's going on.
A British friend once said to me, "to me Ukraine is as far as Afghanistan", which is... quite the take. But honestly I think it's not that far-off from how a lot of British people think. Like, war in both of those places is bad but it's somewhere really far away
Well, I'm here to tell you that is not the case. Even if we're on an island, Ukraine is still part of Europe and is not very far at all. I've been there. It's a very real place to me and unspeakable horrors are going on there
I get that we all have our own struggles. But let's not forget Ukrainians. They are not only defending their country but freedom and democracy itself. That sounds like propaganda and maybe it is to an extent, but honestly I believe it.
The reason it's happening is because Russia hates its ex-colonies trying to develop in the direction of Europe, forge their own values, have societies that are democratic and free of corruption. That's super scary to Putin, how dare they want to be their own nation?!
Russia is like an abuser that seeks to control and HATES it when their victims leave and assert boundaries. It hates that Baltic countries did it, but they joined NATO in time so now Russia can't touch them. Ukraine on the other hand doesn't have that protection.
That is my understanding, anyway. I'm no politologist or anything, just an Eastern European who is glad their country's safe but also really angry for what is happening in Ukraine and how a lot of people don't really care. Please care if you are able to. It's important.
Russia is also an example of what happens when you let an authoritarian regime get out of hand. And we say our Policing Bill is bad. (Yes, it's very bad, we have to resist it now before we turn into another Russia)
🇷🇺 Marina Ovsyannikova, a journalist who protested against Russia's war in Ukraine during a prime-time news broadcast, holds up a sign reading "May the dead children haunt you in your dreams" before a court hearing.
She has been charged with "discrediting" the Russian army.
And it's definitely possible to shut down their hate rallies. Counter-protesters successfully outnumbered & drowned out the TERFs in Philly & their rally lasted less than an hour. Just make sure to protect yourself as you defend your community from TERFs & other fascists.
